About Us

Assistance League Anaheim, a chapter of National Assistance League, was founded as an auxiliary of Assistance League of Orange County in 1940 with Mrs. J. Ben Kaulbars serving as first Chairman of the Anaheim Auxiliary. In 1950, the Anaheim Auxiliary officially became Assistance League Anaheim. Mrs. Arthur Elliott served as first President. We will be celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2010.

Honors for our Chapter

For outstanding service to the community, Assistance League Anaheim and its auxiliaries have won numerous honors at the annual Disneyland Community Service Awards and Orange County Register Charities Awards.

Many of our members have been recipients of the prestigious City of Anaheim Annie Accolades, Cypress College Americana Citizen of the year and other local honors.

We have a membership of over 200. Our members come from many professions, including attorneys, teachers, nurses, engineers, principals, administrative assistants, retail management, social workers, police officers, business owners, medical personnel, community activists, realtors, accountants, housewives and grandmothers, to name a few. All of us working together to make our community a better place.
